This coating is easy to apply and dries to a thin transparent film. The low surface
energy film repels liquids such as lubricating oils, silicones and photoresist solutions
used in the manufacturing of semiconductors. This coating requires no masking in
most applications, and it air-dries in seconds.

Product Details
This coating can be used in the disk drive, MEMS, LCD and printed circuit
board industries to provide anti-wetting, anti-stiction, anti-migration and anti-
corrosion properties. It is a replacement for Fluorad™ coating FC-722, FC-
724, FC-725 and FC-732.
When applied to clean, moisture-free surfaces such as copper, aluminum,
ceramic, steel, tin or glass, Novec coating EGC-1700 dries to a thin
transparent film with excellent anti-wetting, anti-stiction, anti-migration and
anti-corrosion properties. This makes it useful as a coating for a variety of
applications, including:

The low surface energy film repels liquids such as lubricating oils, silicones and

3M™Novec™ EGC-1704 Electronic Coating
This coating can be used in the disk drive, MEMS and TFT-LCD industries to provide
anti-wetting, anti-stiction, anti-migration and anti-corrosion properties.
Novec electronic coating EGC-1704 imparts anti-wetting, anti-stiction, anti-migration
and anti-corrosion properties to sensitive electronic components. When spray-applied
or dip-coated to clean, moisture-free surfaces such as copper, aluminum, ceramic,
steel, tin or glass, Novec coating EGC-1704 dries to form an ultra-thin transparent film
(~0.2 micron) that repels liquids such as lubricating oils, hydrocarbon oils and silicones.

Novec fluid 71DA is a true azeotrope, with constant vapor and liquid
composition at its boiling point. It is intended to replace ozone-
depleting materials in many applications as well as certain aqueous
cleaning processes.

71DA fluid is a hydrofluoroether in an azeotropic
formulation with trans-1,2-dichloroethylene and ethanol. Its
increased solvency and low surface tension, as well as
nonflammability and constant composition during boiling,

applications. In addition, the ethanol component of 71DA
fluid provides enhanced removal of ionic contaminants.

This fluid is ideal for light cleaning and degreasing tasks. A true
azeotrope, 71IPA has essentially constant vapor and liquid
composition at its boiling point.

Novec fluid 7100 is used in a diverse range of industries. Its
convenient boiling point and excellent environmental, health and
safety profile make it useful in applications like heat transfer,
cleaning, lubricant deposition and more.

Used to replace CFCs, HFCs, HCFCs and flammable
solvents in fingerprint formulations for ninhydrin or DFO,
7100 works in the formula to provide optimally crisp ridge
detail. 7100s high wetting index assures maximum
penetration and delivery of the ninhydrin or DFO to
deposited amino acids, thus finding and developing more
prints than other formulations. And 7100 is compatible with
a wide range of inks, papers and materials thus protecting
the evidence from damage and blurred inks. Additional
characteristics of 7100 include low toxicity, zero ozone
depletion potential, low global warming potential and the
solvent is nonflammable.
Its boiling point (61°C) and increased solvency make
Novec fluid 7100 an ideal cleaning solvent in applications
like vapor degreasing, wet cleaning and FOUP cleaning.
Low surface tension helps it to penetrate into tight spaces
found in delicate electronic equipment - providing a
thorough and complete clean.
7100 is non-ozone depleting, is not a volatile organic
compound (VOC) and is approved without restrictions
under the US EPA's Significant New Alternatives Program
(SNAP)
Depending on the type of soil to be cleaned, Novec fluid
7100 can be used "neat" or in combination with other
solvents. The product is compatible with most metals,
plastics and elastomers.
Low viscosity and low surface tension provide this fluid with
surface wetting and flow properties similar to 3M™
Performance Fluid PF-5060DL. In addition, Novec fluid
7100 has a short atmospheric lifetime and low global
warming potential (GWP). Novec fluid 7100 delivers good
solvency for PFPE lubricants and can dissolve high
performance lubricant additives such as X-1P.
A wide liquid range (-135°C to 61°C) makes Novec fluid
7100 well-suited to thermal management applications in a
wide array of industries. In the semiconductor industry, it's
ideal for automated test equipment (ATE) and wafer
processing equipment requiring low temperatures.
Novec fluid 7100 has a very low global warming potential
(GWP) and offers reduced greenhouse gas emissions
when compared to PFCs - without sacrificing performance.

PF-5060 is a replacement for ozone depleting substances used in
solvent applications.
3M™ Performance Fluid PF-5060 is a clear, colorless, fully-
fluorinated liquid. Like other 3M Performance Fluids, PF-5060 fluid
is chemically and thermally stable, practically non-toxic, and
nonflammable.
The high dielectric strength, excellent materials compatibility, and
chemical and thermal stability make PF-5060 fluid useful in a wide

3M™ Novec™ Electronic Degreaser is ideal for cleaning heavy oils,
greases and handling soils from electronic and electrical equipment.
This heavy-duty cleaner is suitable for use on metals and many
plastics, with the exception of acrylics, polycarbonates, ABS and
PS.
Novec Electronic Degreaser is non-flammable, non-ozone
depleting, has low global warming ptential and does not contain any
hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs), hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs),
hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) or n-propyl bromide (nPB). This
product is formulated with 3M™ Novec™ 7200 Engineered Fluid,
which is VOC-exempt under California Air Resources Board (CARB)

3M™ Novec™ Flux Remover uses advanced 3M solvent
technology to remove a wide variety of solder fluxes used in
